Community Radio Station Project

Sai Jyoti was established Community Radio station “Lalit lok Vani” in Aalapur village of Lalitpur district of Utter Pradesh in year 2010, with the support of UNICEF. This is the first Community Radio in Utter Pradesh established by NGO. Lalitlok Vani produced minimum 60 to 70% of their total programme with the support of local community. Programme content and format are decided with the support of community. Lalit Lok Vani has also promoted local art and culture, so local folk artist and their groups are involved in programme production. Lalit lok vani management committee has a separate identity; Lalit Lok Vani Samiti is a registered society. This committee has working for the management of community radio.

Integrated Tribal Development programme

Sai Jyoti have implementing Integrated Tribal Development programme of NABARD, in two blocks Birdha & Jakhaura of district Lalitpur. Under this project we have provide livelihood support to Sahariya Adivasi. Orchard development is main activity of this project. In Birdha block 500 Sahariya families were covered by this programme. 100 landless families were supported for goat rearing. Goat bank has established. There are a CBO “Gram Niyojan Samiti” has been formed under the project, which is responsible to implementation of project. 25 villages are covered under this intervention. We have also implementing Integrated Tribal Development programme of NABARD, in block Jakhaura of district Lalitpur. After the successful completion of Birdha project NABARD has given 1000 wadi & 100 landless families project to Sai Jyoti for Jakhaura Block.

Enhancing livelihood through natural resource management in Bundelkhand

Sai Jyoti has implementing “Enhancing livelihood through natural resource management in programme with the support of Sir Dorabji Tata Trust in 5 villages of block Birdha of District Lalitpur. Bundelkhand is a Drought prone area, Water conservation is an important need for this area. We are providing SWC work support and also provide technical support to improve their agriculture practices. We are promoting SRI and SCI method to grown up their yields.

Child Right Project Sonbhadra

In district Sonebhadra Sai Jyoti has working with the support of UNICEF, promoting child Right in 210 villages of two block Duddhi and Robertsganj. Under the Government of India’s scheme ICPS (Integrated Child Protection Scheme) we are form CPC (Child Protection committee) at village. CPC has his legal identity. UP Government and local administration are also responsible to form and strengthening the CPCs. We are providing the support to administration in formation and strengthening the CPCs. CPC is responsible to create protective environment for the children in their village. CWC (Child Welfare Committee) of District level and BCPC (Block Level Child Protection committee) are also work for the support of CPCs. We are also promoting 10 point child friendly agenda with help of existing self help groups in Cascade Model.

UP Participatory Forest Management and Poverty alleviation Project

Sai Jyoti were worked as a NSO (NGO support organization) in three forest range Namely Babhni, Jaraha & Bagharu of Renukoot forest Division of Sonebhadra District with the support of PMU of JICA (Japan international co operation agencies) and UP forest department. Under this project Sai Jyoti was promote participatory forest management practices. We were formed JFMCs and activate & strengthening them.

Improving access to education for marginalised children in Lalitpur district

Under this project we are working with 64 Government Primary and Junior high school in 34 village of birdha block. We are working with government school on the issue of proper implementation of Right to Education act. We are working with teachers for improvement of quality Education. We have also work with children for enhancing their creativeness and activeness.

Sustainable Agriculture project

Sai Jyoti have working with sahariya community in 25 village of Birdha block in Lalitpur district to promote Sustainable and organic farming in the district. As we aware that Bundelkhand area is drought prone area, we have provide technology and technical support to farmers to improve their agriculture practices. Main objective of this project is to develop sustainable and low cost agriculture models for Bundelkhand region & promoting new and drought resistant technology in agriculture sector. We also provide technical support in soil water conservation work. We also sensitise community about on water conservation and how can minimised use of water in crops. We are promoting SRI, Machan & Akshay Models of low coat and higher productive agriculture.

Farmers Producer organisation

We are promoting two Farmers producers organisations (FPO) in Birdha & Jakhaura block of Lalitpur district. Both of FPOs are working for Fruits and Vegetables produce. Both FPOs were registered under companies act. Share capital was also collected by farmers and started their activities towards enhancing business development.

Maternal Adolescent Reproductive & Child Health Prpgramme (MARCH)

MARCH programme is implementing in 25 heard to reach villages of block Birdha of district Lalitpur. There were government health facilities are not in place or not accessible Sai Jyoti will facilitate community for the same, and we also generate awareness to get government health facilities. Under the MARCH programme we have organise health camps to providing health facilities at their village, a mobile clinic is going to villages and providing treatment. We are promoting institutional delivery, complete immunisation for mother & child both, all ANC & PNC check-ups, child care and adolescents health solutions. Our goal of this project is “MARCH towards zero MMR, zero IMR”.

Sustainable Agriculture Promotion Programme: (CSR of BAJAJ FOUNDATION)

Bajaj Foundation has supported the work of Soil Water Conservation and Sustainable Agriculture promotion in 5 villages under the CSR fund. Farm Ponds and Farm Bunds are the major focus under this programme and organization is making all the possible efforts to promote Sustainable Agriculture with 100 farmers. Promotion of SRI Technique, Use of Organic Manure and vermin compost instead of Chemical fertilizers, Kitchen Gardens are primary focus under the programme.  

SHG Promotion Program: (Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh):

Sai jyoti along with the support of NABARD (National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development Bhopal) has been implementing the work of SHG promotion in rural area of Tikamgarh block. In this programme 25 villages has been covered and a total of 100 SHG’s has been made. Regular meetings along with the other activities are in regular practice with all the SHG’s. Organization is also about to start the work on SHG promotion and also on FPO (Framers Produce Organization) in Chhatarpur District of Madhya Pradesh.

CLAD (Creating Livelihood Adaptation under Drought)

In Block Babina of Jhansi District, Sai Jyoti has started implementing CLAD project with the support of IGSSS (Indo Global Social Service Society). In 16 villages of Babina Block organization has started to promote Sustainable Agricultural Practices in Drought conditions. Seeds along with the techniques which yield less amount of water and could provide large scale productions are the major focus under the project. Regular Intervention with the Farmers is also considered for follow up of farming practices.

HVDP (Holistic Village Development Project )

In Seoni Malwa Block of Hosangabad district Saj Jyoti Sansthan has started the HVDP project with the support of HDFC Bank.  Bank has supported the work of Soil Water Conservation and Sustainable Agriculture promotion in 5 villages under the CSR fund. Farm Ponds and Farm Bunds are the major focus under this programme and organization is making all the possible efforts to promote Sustainable Agriculture with  farmers of thye project area. Tara Akshar + Program

Sai Jyoti Sansthan started Tara Akshar project with the support of Development Alternatives, New Delhi in 30 villages of Jahkhaura block of Lalitpur District for making women of tribal, backward and other castes communities literate. For the implementation of project on ground a specifically designed program has been launched with trained instructors in all 30 villages for making more than 7000 women of the project area literate.

Child Line Project

Project has been implemented in all villages of the Talbahet block of Lalitpur district with the support and guidance of Government of India for protection of Child rights  and against child trafficking activities with the support of Local Administration.
